Re: Playing Freeciv Totally BLind

Wow! That's truly awesome from Qt because I don't think the client was designed with accessibility in mind. If you middle click on a tile you get some infomartion about it, like what terrain it is and so on. Hopefully your screen reader reads the tooltip. For info, how do you usually navigate maps? ...

Re: freeciv-score.log

Three years ago I copied an old code, maybe from here, and adjusted it to work with the freeciv 2.90.99 format. It may still be compatible with 3.0 alphas, but it's Python 2 which isn't supported anymore.

Anyway here it is:
freeciv-score-log.py.gz
Forum doesn't like .py files, so gzipped it

Re: Autogen and relative prefix

There is no way to set the prefix to a relative path. $PWD expands to the complete path of the current directory.

Or the balance went negative after processing the first N cities. It's not so unlikely in the common case where most of the income is coming from the capital.

Re: Qt client on Android

I just pushed an update that makes it much easier to create an APK. Most parameters can just be passed to configure (some paths are still hardcoded for Debian-based distros, eg the JVM).

Re: [2.6] Augmented ruleset modpack

I know that it means that all formatting has to be redone, but I'd rather move the detailed description to a Wiki page and keep the first post to the point (with pics so it doesn't look too boring -- make it be an advertorial).

Re: Improve the goto lines

I may guess that it is somehow connected to the function prefer_short_stacks() that is a part of goto advisor. Maybe this function is also responsible for the infamous inability of AI to move units in reasonable attacker-defender stacks. I was poking through bugs on HRM but can't seem to locate any...

The repo has been updated with touch support for scrolling the map. This means the game can be played.

Re: Rounded Widgets

You can do it if you're willing to code it yourself. You'll need a function canvas_put_rounded_rectangle in client/include/canvas_g.h . It must be implemented in the clients so you'll need to do that for the client of your choice. Next you'll need to update client/reqtree.c to use your new function ...

Qt client on Android

This topic is about getting the Qt client ready for Android. There is already a port of the SDL client. Android is officially supported by Qt through their qmake tool and QtAndroidExtras module. The application is compiled as a dynamic library that is loaded by a Java wrapper. I managed to compile t...
