Re: AI has many problems and needs to be improved
Chiming in here because I've experienced the same thing - in my experience, as soon as an AI starts lagging behind its neighbors technologically, it starts mass-producing defensive units and literally nothing else. This is with close to default settings, standard ruleset and hard AI - I've seen the ...

A few comments
Alright, so as someone who's been playing Freeciv on and off for a while now, here's a bunch of things that bother me, mostly about the AI: 1) The AI really doesn't like Harbors. I have never seen an AI player build one before the endgame. It's extremely frustrating to watch them limit their cities'...

Re: looking to help, if possible.
The first one is already there - you get info about a tile by Alt+clicking on it or clicking it with the middle mouse button (see Help>Controls). About the second one, I'd like to see that too. While there is a "Help" button under the production list which links you to the help page of the...

Re: Undo last move
The problem with using autosaves is that, if you set saveturns to 1 (so you don't have to replay multiple turns), the savegames folder will get clogged up with hundreds of files really fast. I actually really like the way Battle for Wesnoth did this, by only allowing a certain amount of savegames of...

Re: New nation has flag only if its called "aborigines"
In fact, I had exactly the same problem just two days ago - I had looked at the .spec files, but since the first thing I saw was a list of the flag artists, I assumed they wouldn't contain any gameplay-relevant information  Is there a reason it doesn't just take the "flag" key from t...

Re: Undo last move
Thanks, I found it ( didn't realize it's listed in the wiki as "City_Unhappy_Size" instead of "unhappysize"). However, seeing the option's description, I realized it's not the one I was looking for (I wrote "amount of cities", not "size of the city" in the OP,...

Re: Undo last move
1) Oh, I actually didn't know that. I guess it would be possible to allow undoing if there are no other human players? It only works well with AI opponents anyway, becasue they move seprarately from human players. 2) Nice to know it still exists. Would that option go in effects.rulesets or cities.ru...

Undo last move
As I am rather prone to misclicking, I think an option to undo the last move would be nice. Of course, undoing would only be possible if the player has gained no knowledge through his move, and undoing would probably not be possible in multiplayer. I think this would especially be useful for managin...
